Derek King is a disciple-maker and ministry leader passionate about building authentic faith communities. As co-founder of Vancouver Island Church Plants and Art Trek, he creates spaces where faith, creativity, and discipleship come together. With nearly 30 years of ministry experience, he equips others to live out their faith in real and meaningful ways. His work is especially focused on walking alongside those recovering from church hurt, helping them rediscover faith in a way that is healing, authentic, and transformative. At Art Trek, Derek fosters a welcoming community, guiding conversations, supporting artists, and encouraging spiritual renewal.

Jennifer King – Artist, Writer & Disciple-Maker

Jennifer King is a professional artist, writer, and disciple-maker whose work explores themes of identity, restoration, and belonging. As co-founder of Art Trek and Vancouver Island Church Plants, she uses creativity as a bridge—bringing people together through storytelling, faith, and shared experience.

With an MFA in Painting and nearly 30 years of ministry experience, Jennifer integrates art and discipleship, helping others connect with God, themselves, and their community. Her work is especially focused on those navigating cultural loss, healing from church hurt, and seeking spaces of renewal. At Art Trek, she cultivates a creative, welcoming environment where art becomes an act of worship, reflection, and restoration.
