Art as Mission
As a professional artist and disciple maker, Jennifer's focus on Art as Mission is centered around community-building. She and Derek offer art lessons and engage our community with art projects and invite people to share in conversations about our Creator and faith.

Art Trek is a retreat for creative young adults ages 18 and older who join us while we engage nature as our inspiration for our art and music. This four-day, four-night event is hosted by Vancouver Island Church Plants and takes place at the picturesque waterfront village of Telegraph Cove on the northeastern tip of Vancouver Island.

Discovery Groups make a practice of obeying the scriptures we study together by power of the Spirit. By means of prayer and obedience, Discovery Groups will grow and spread - replicating ourselves by the disciple making process, thus becoming churches. These disciples begin by prayer and begin searching for their persons of peace. And in doing so, make disciples to make disciples who become churches.

Our Partners
CALGARY CHURCH OF CHRIST, CANADA
We’re grateful for the support of Canadians in our ministry to make disciples who make disciples who make churches. Calgary church of Christ shares our hope for a growing number of churches across western Canada, and supports us in many meaningful ways.
PARKWAY CHURCH OF CHRIST, SACRAMENTO, USA
Derek's childhood church, Parkway church of Christ in Sacramento, CA supports us as we pursue higher education and commit ourselves to service throughout the summer through various camp programs. We are grateful for such a kingdom-centered congregation!
SANDSTONE DRIVE CHURCH OF CHRIST, LITTLE ROCK, USA
Sandstone Drive church of Christ serves the Little Rock, AR area with an emphasis on missions. We were blessed to be partners in ministry nearly a decade ago, and are glad to continue in partnership even now.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU
Most of our support comes from people like you! We are blessed to have partners who share the vision for disciple making in Canada and the US. Many of our supporters are friends, or friends of friends who heard about the work here.
We are a part of a disciple making movement.
Our aim is to make disciples who make disciples who become churches.
Our practices include prayer, meaningful engagement, serving with purpose, carrying conversations from casual to meaningful to spiritual to biblical. We work to find our persons of peace - curious truth seekers - who are willing to take those biblical conversations and meet regularly with others in their lives who wish for the same. And in doing so, with God’s help, we make disciples to make disciples who become churches.
In our work on Vancouver Island, camping, hiking, volleyball, games, bible camps, Art Trek, neighbourly visits, weddings and road trips all offer time to engage Vancouver Island’s young people. We keep ourselves available and on-call, recognizing that every opportunity has potential for essential relationship building.
